| | listless | ] | So it's the second day of school, and I figured since I'm going to have a little bit of time in the afternoons for a while, I might as well keep a live journal. Right between calculus, physics, and... interpersonal communications.
Matthew Broderick (sp?) is teaching my Calculus 3 class... He talks just like Mister Broderick in Ladyhawke, but he trails off into little circular sentences. First day, he asks if anyone has a question. One of the guys in the class raised his hand and said, "What do you go by? Doc?" The professor replies, "Well, I'm not a doctor, so I go by Jeff." Pretty funny in person, but it didn't quite translate to written humor... The best part? No dumb calculus book. It's been my bane for the last two semesters and I do so much better with note-based classes.
I spent the first session of my Interpersonal Communications class sitting in the wrong classroom, communicating interpersonally with the other 6 people who planned ahead. The school decided to change the classroom halfway through the summer, but didn't update our schedules or the fall class schedule. The people who signed up late showed up to the right class. Serves me right for -not- registering the week before class.
Physics is the same thing as last semester... Same teacher, same people. There's three people I don't recognize out of about 20. Looks promising.
Some guys behind me finally finished their conversation about the various innanities of Full Metal Alchemist on Cartoon Network, which went on for a full hour. Now they're looking up amusing... um... web pages using Google. Anyway, I need to get going so I can let a friend borrow my calculus text and get to my work meeting by 4:30 with a fruit tray or something. |
